Very few of us have an employer-sponsored pension anymore, only a 401k plan. And many of us are self-employed, working multiple gigs or starting our own businesses. We have to take care of our own retirement. That means investors look like us.
I'm Shelly Lombard. When people hear that I worked on Wall Street for 30 years analyzing high yield bonds and value stocks, that I have an MBA in Finance from Columbia and teach finance classes, and that I made multiple appearances on CNBC and was frequently quoted in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, they ask me lots of questions.
They ask: What do I think of Tesla? Which funds should they invest their 401k savings in? And if the stock market falters, should they pull all of their money out?
I definitely don't have all the answers! But I know how to ask the right questions of people who are experts. And I have a lot of practice explaining complex concepts in simple language that people understand and remember.
So you can come to MilleMoney to learn the basics of investing, to see interviews with experts on personal finance, and to hear stock analysts discuss specific stocks.
When it comes to your money, you gotta be your own hero.
